I love the posters from world war 2 that were promoting less waste, whether it be cooking lard, oil or recycling metal. Recently treehugger gathered a few old posters - not the most common ones, but I found a few I liked.

    I LOVE these posters! Thank you so much for posting. It's nice to see that there has been wisdom throughout the ages. Hopefully, this revival movement will lead to more and more people choosing to live more simply, buy local and do more to sustain our planet. It's insurance for our future and our children's future.
